Author’s Bio

Lisa J. Lehr has had a passion for writing all her life. Having earned all her college English credit in high school through the Advanced Placement Program, she earned a biology degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After working in a variety of fields, including the pharmaceutical industry and teaching, she has been a freelance writer since 1999.

A graduate of American Writers and Artists Institute (AWAI), the industry’s leading course on copywriting, Lisa is a believer and active participant in continuing education. She holds majority credit toward a certificate from Central California Bible Institute and has studied art and foreign language among a wide variety of subjects. She is also an avid reader and has read the Bible cover-to-cover.

In addition, she has held lay leadership positions in one of the largest evangelical churches in the San Francisco Bay Area and in one of the largest in the Grass Valley, California area. Her involvements have included both women’s and children’s ministries, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, leading National Day of Prayer observances, and being Assistant Editor of her church newsletter. She has also raised a Guide Dog puppy.

Lisa has several published articles and a couple of short stories to her credit. She also has co-written autobiographies for private clients and has been a book and content editor for a number of nationally known clients. She now focuses on copywriting for businesses.

When she is not writing, she is busy volunteering as an ESL tutor, nurturing rescued animals, and teaching disabled kids horsemanship skills; and, as time allows, doing artwork, listening to music, power walking, studying Italian, and attending Renaissance Faires and Celtic Festivals.

She is listed in Marquis’ Who’s Who in America 2005®, the definitive source of biographical information on America’s leaders and achievers, and Who’s Who of American Women®.
